I had a fantastic stay at Sugar Hotel! The room was spacious and very comfortable, thanks to attentive housekeeping that kept everything spotless. The dining experience was a real treat, especially the breakfast options and the dinners we enjoyed. However, I did find the laundry service a bit pricey. Overall, the welcoming smiles and professionalism of the staff made the experience nice.

My stay at Sugar Hotel was a mixed bag. While the staff were incredibly accommodating and the breakfast good, I encountered issues with the room's cleanliness. Overall, I had a good experience but felt that some parts could use improvement.

I had a wonderful 5-day stay at Sugar Hotel. the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, which made my experience truly enjoyable. The breakfast was good, served from a small but quality menu. The location is perfect, being close to lively areas, though I was disappointed not to be able to use the plunge pool due to the rain. Overall, it was a nice visit with a few minor hiccups.

Rooms

My room was modern, comfortable, and spacious with great amenities. I particularly loved the small patio area and plunge pool providing views of Table Mountain. However, I heard about some rooms not being as well-designed, lacking proper separation for the bathroom.

I had a mixed experience at Sugar Hotel during my stay. While the location was fantastic, just a 15-minute walk from V&A Waterfront, I encountered some issues that diminished my overall satisfaction. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated, but there were some disappointing aspects, particularly with the room quality and dining options.

Rooms
5.0
My room was a bit small and had a few cleanliness issues, like dirty sheets upon arrival. The air conditioning also wasn't working well, which made staying comfortable a bit challenging. On a positive note, the room was modern with a cozy Nespresso machine and all the usual amenities.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly with a good sense of humor, and they tried their best to assist. However, there were moments where it felt like they lacked attention to detail, like when maintenance issues took longer than expected to address.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was definitely a highlight for me. It was close enough to the V&A Waterfront to enjoy the sights but still away from the hustle and bustle. I appreciated being able to walk to many attractions in the area.
Dining
5.0
I had high expectations for the breakfast but found it to be disappointing with limited options. The quality didn’t quite meet what I hoped for in a hotel of this caliber, especially after hearing good things about the restaurant.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, but there were some notable gaps like the lack of a backup generator during loadshedding. It would have been nice to have a bar for a casual drink after a long day.

My stay at Sugar Hotel was pretty great overall. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Waterfront, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. However, the room was a bit smaller than I anticipated. The breakfast was tasty, with some excellent chocolate muffins. I would definitely consider returning, especially for the service and vibe.

Rooms

The room was quite small and felt like it was in a basement with limited windows. It might work for solo travelers but not ideal for two.
